US CITIZEN KIDNAPPED IN PORT-AU-PRINCE

Francois Dossous, the head of the Haiti's anti-kidnapping unit, reports that U.S. citizen Frank Jean-Baptiste has been kidnapped by unknown persons from his home in the capital. Reportedly, Jean-Baptiste was abducted by men posing as employees of a package delivery service.

COMMENT: He is married to the director of a prestigious private school for the children of diplomats and wealthy Haitians. Police and UN peacekeepers have increased checkpoints throughout Port-au-Prince. Few other facts are available.
