A decade after the tragic events of September 11, 2001, put into motion by Islamic extremists, the loss of 3,000 precious souls from some 90 countries, were remembered today, a decade since the horrific event now known as "9/11."
Even as some observers firmly believe that the events of 9/11 were orchestrated by the US Government itself, most educated people realize, of course, that such a notion is absurd and simply an intentional distortion of documented fact.
Throughout the world, formal ceremonies paid tribute to the nearly 3,000 who perished that fateful day, even as Swedish police arrested four suspects on suspicion of preparing a terror attack and as authorities in Washington and New York beefed up security in response to intelligence about possible plans for a car bomb attack.
Even in Tokyo, the families of 23 Fuji Bank employees who never made it out of their World Trade Center office were respectfully remembered.
Following the events of 9/11, the following countries sustained equally horrific and high-casualty terrorist attacks or attempted terrorist attacks on their own soil, as they stood should-to-shoulder with the US in the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT):
Pakistan
Indonesia
Israel
Jordan
Turkey
Philippines
Spain
Morocco
Afghanistan
Iraq
United States
Nigeria
Our remembrance of those who lost their lives, were injured and the first responders who saved lives on September 11 are ever-present in our prayers and in our thoughts.
Our thanks go out to all nations that have been victimized by Islamic terrorists, few as they may be, knowing that the majority of Muslims everywhere find the events of 9/11 as repugnant as the many nations that have been touched forever by religious hatred.
