A US woman, 28, was found dead in a hotel in Jacó (Costa Rica) on Thursday (December 15), according to local police. The woman reportedly checked into the unidentified hotel at 1930 on Wednesday (December 14) and placed a wake-up call with the reception desk before she retired for the evening.
COMMENT: When hotel staff went to wake the American up, the woman did not respond. Subsequently, suspecting a problem, police were notified, who later found two syringes in the hands of the decedent. The woman's body has since been scheduled for an autopsy.
