Australian Tourist, 23, Not Sexually Assaulted in Argentina After Being Assaulted by a "Guide"

Forensic experts have now confirmed through a gynecological examination that Australian tourist Emma Kevky, 23, was not sexually assaulted by a man who hit her in the head with a rock after she refused to be guided by him, while walking alone near the town of Elk Bolsón, Río Negro province.

Ms. Kevky was found in a state of shock last week in the Cajón de Azul region, close to the area where she was last seen last week, physicians said that she was dehydrated and had severe bruising on her arms and legs.

COMMENT: When Ms. Kevky refused to accept the man’s offer of assistance, he apparently hit her in the head with a stone that brought on disoriented symptoms. Although a suspect was arrested, Kevky was unable to identify her assailant from a police line-up. Her parents flew from Australia to Argentina to be with her after she was found.
