As a follow-up to yesterday's posting, Bahamian authorities are now reporting that the cruise-ship passenger from South Carolina, 26, who died from a fall aboard Carnival's Fantasy, actually jumped from one deck to another. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
As I have said in other postings, the increasing size of cruise-ships in the interest of profit is not necessarily a good thing.
Studies have also shown that population density in any confined space, whether it be a city, an aircraft or a cruise-ship, not only results in inter-personal and psychological conflict, but makes it increasingly difficult for cruise-ship crews to keep all passengers safe from harm.
New information on this incident will be provided as it becomes available.
