A third British tourist has died from apparently contracting Legionnaire’s disease while on vacation in Spain. Two of the men were found dead in their hotel rooms Diamante Beach Hotel in Calpe, during January 26-31 and another man died in a local hospital on February 1. All three men were between the ages of 73 and 78.
COMMENT: A spokeswoman for the British Foreign Office, was quoted as saying: “We are aware of an outbreak of Legionnaire’s disease in Calpe. Local health authorities have confirmed the death of three British nationals as a result and are investigating."

All three men were visiting Spain with the over-50s tour group, Saga (http://www.saga.co.uk), which has since moved all of its clients to a new hotel after its expert conducted tests on water samples at their hotel.
