Update: US Businesswoman Found Stabbed in Bangkok Hotel

As a follow-up to yesterday's (February 16) posting, Tampa businesswoman Wendy Albano, 52, who was found stabbed to death on the 17th floor of the Fraser Suite Hotel in Bangkok on Thursday, was reportedly discovered by a maid. The Fraser is an apart-hotel.

According to police, Ms. Albano, an interior designer, was choked and stabbed multiple times in the chest; her boyfriend, an Indian national, is a prime suspect and is being sought. Sang-Hvi Ritesh Nar-Patraj, 26, had apparently been staying with her.

COMMENT: Closed circuit surveillance footage at the Fraser indicates that Nar-Patraj was observed leaving the hotel with his luggage at approximately 2000 hours on Sunday (February 12).

Thai immigration has confirmed that he flew out of Bangkok later that evening. Police have theorized that Ms. Albano was in Bangkok to end the relationship and have notified INTERPOL for assistance.

Albano was also a mother of two daughters who are in their 20s.
