California: Tourist from Wisconsin Resists Assailants, Injured, Robbed

A tourist from Milwaukee was walking on Gateway Boulevard in San Francisco on Tuesday morning  (May 8), when two armed men confronted him and demanded his money and valuables.

When the tourist resisted the assailants' efforts, they slashed him in several times with a knife, took the victim's wallet and fled on bicycles. He was later treated by the South San Francisco Fire Department.

COMMENT: I continue to be perplexed by the large number of crime victims who imprudently resist armed criminals, particularly when there is more than one assailant.

Although it is human instinct to counter aggression with counter-aggression, in an increasingly perilous world where the majority of criminals carry guns, resisting armed assailants can only be described as foolish, as many of my 1,100+ postings attest.

As I have said countless times in the past, NO property is worth our life.
