Tunisia: US Department of States Warns US Citizens of Travel

The US Department of State warns US citizens of the risks of travel to Tunisia. On September 14, 2012, the Department of State ordered the departure of all non-essential US government personnel from Tunisia, following the attack on the US Embassy and the American Cooperative School in Tunis. While the Consular Section is open for public services, the Embassy’s ability to respond to emergencies involving US citizens throughout Tunisia is limited.
