Hawaii: Update--Japan-Based Marine Released by Police in Ivy Harris Murder

According to The Associated Press, Honolulu police on Friday (June 7) released  Japan-based Master Sergeant Nathaniel L. Cosby USMC, 38, in connection with the murder of Las Vegas escort Ivanice "Ivy" Harris, 29, who was killed last month while vacationing on Oahu with friends.

According to a police spokesperson, Cosby is not going to be charged at this time.

COMMENT: Cosby was arrested on Wednesday (June 5) at Honolulu International Airport on suspicion of murdering Harris, the latter of whom was was last seen outside a Waikiki bar. Her body was later found on Oahu's leeward coast.

MSgt Cosby, who had been assigned to Marine Wing Support Squadron-171 in the 1st Marine Aircraft Wing based in Iwakuni, Japan, has been reassigned to Hawaii pending further investigation.
