Hawaii: Update--Marine Master Sergeant Arrested in Connection with Death of Tourist Ivy Harris

According to the Star-Advertiser, Honolulu police arrested a suspect on suspicion of murder in the death of Las Vegas tourist Ivanice “Ivy” Harris whose body was found along a cliff on the Makaha side of Yokohama Bay last month.

Ms. Harris was last seen outside a pub on Lewers Street and Kalakaua Avenue at about 0200 hours on May 16. Her body was discovered a few days later.

The victim arrived in Hawaii on May 7 and had been planning to celebrate her 29th birthday with friends on May 18.

COMMENT: Police arrested Nathaniel L. Cosby, 38, earlier today at the Honolulu Airport on suspicion of second-degree murder. Ms. Harris' assailant was an active duty Marine master sergeant.

Although Ms. Harris worked as an escort and prostitute, it is unknown as to whether her occupation had anything to do with her death.

The important aspect of this case is that her family can have some closure, knowing that her murderer has been brought to justice.
