Norway: Spanish Tourist, 26, Falls 600 Meters to His Death, Suicide Not Being Ruled Out

According to The Associated Press, Norwegian police report that a 26-year-old Spanish tourist fell to his death a Spanish tourist from a scenic cliff known as the Preikestolen, or Preacher's Pulpit. 

Police in the southwestern country of Rogaland say the victim fell roughly 600 meters (1,968 feet) from the cliff on Tuesday (October 8) and that the man's body was found later the same day. Police did not release his name, pending notification of next of kin.

COMMENT: Police said on Wednesday (October 9) that it was the first death at the popular tourist attraction and that suicide was not being ruled out.
