Tip of the Day: Get a Thorough Physical Exam Before You Travel Abroad

I know that I'm preaching to the choir for a lot of our long-term readers, but please, if you're over 40, are on medical prescriptions, particularly if you suffer from chronic illnesses, get a thorough medical examination from your personal physician, including an EKG and a full blood work-up.

As most of you know, I have covered so many fatalities in my daily blogs over the years, often folks between the ages of 40-80 who may be out-of-shape and exert themselves abnormally while abroad only to die prematurely...and away from home.

If you need any convincing, I have traveled abroad with colleagues extensively over the years and two actually died while I was with them. Not a good thing.
