The man, who was from Davanagere and a frequent traveler, molested the 33-year-old woman, who was ailing from dystentery and dehydration as she reached the station at 0600 hours on Saturday (April 19), claiming to help the debilitated victim.

COMMENT: For those of our readers who are women traveling alone, India is facing a daily crisis from the risks of molestation, sexual assault and rape (including gang-rape) which has gripped the country.

As the woman called for help, the assailant fled from the scene, only to be arrested within an hour.
