New Orleans: Visitor Shot, Robbed by Woman in Her 20s in Downtown Area, Victim in Good Condition

According to http://www.nola.com, a 36-year-old man was shot in the hand Tuesday morning during an armed robbery, according to New Orleans Police. The incident occurred at 1630 hours in the downtown area of the city.

The man, who was visiting the city, told police an unknown woman shot and robbed him. He wasn't sure of the location of the shooting, but police said he was able to walk back to his hotel, the Hyatt Place, in the 800 block of Convention Center Boulevard.

NOPD said Tuesday it is working to find the exact location of the crime.

EMS picked him the shooting victim at the Hyatt and took him to the hospital, where he was listed in good condition. Police described him as a visitor to New Orleans, but didn't immediately know where the visitor was from.

According to a preliminary report, the woman is described as being in her late 20s with a medium build. She was driving a late model gray or brown Kia SUV.
