Barbados: British Telecommunications Worker Stabbed to Death in St. Lawrence Gap Bar Altercation

According to The Daily Mail, a British tourist, has been reportedly stabbed to death in St. Lawrence Gap in the Christ Church section of the island early Sunday morning (June 15). 

The incident occurred when the victim reportedly got into an alternation with a local man.

The victim, who was employed by UK-based Cable and Wireless Communications, who later died at Queen Elizabeth Hospital near Barbados.

COMMENT:  It should be noted that several years ago violent crimes were rare in Barbados, yet with all Caribbean islands, violent altercations are on the rise.

St. Lawrence Gap is a one-mile stretch of coastal road in the center of the parish of Christ Church in the southwestern section of the island which is riddled with lively bars, restaurants and nightclubs open until the early hours of the morning.
