Barbados: Update--British Telecom Worker, 28, Stabbed to Death, Suspect NOT in Custody

According to http://www.travelmole.com, a former Royal Army soldier, Brian Mulligan, 28, who was reportedly stabbed to death by a Bajan he had a dispute with on Sunday, June 15, in a St. Lawrence Gap [Christ Church] establishment.

Mulligan, who reportedly worked for a telecommunications firm in the UK, was on the island for work.

The Briton was the father of two.

COMMENT: The assailant who killed Mulligan is NOT in custody.

Mulligan was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, but reportedly died from his injuries which involved fatal chest wounds, suggesting that the altercation was intentional.

The British Foreign Office is providing consular assistance to the victim and his family.
