Nigeria/US: Update--Lagos Air Marshal Administered Drugs to Counter Ebola, Investigation Continues

According to The New York Daily News, a federal air marshal was reportedly injected with an unknown substance on Sunday (September 7) at Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos where Ebola is a fact of life.

Since the incident, airport staff in both the US and in Nigeria have become accustomed to wearing surgical masks and gloves.

COMMENT: The unidentified air marshal was met by FBI agents and CDC specialists when his flight returned to Houston, according to ABC NEWS.

The air marshal was screened for Ebola and was administered medication in the event he had contracted the disease, according to FOX NEWS.

The victim was traveling with a group of undercover air marshals when an assailant injected him with an unknown substance, then fled without being detained.
