Tip of the Day: Examine the Travel Warnings Issued by Other Foreign Governments

In addition to checking the appropriate website of your own foreign affairs agency, I strongly suggest that all travelers that you examine the websites of other foreign ministries that speak your first language or perhaps others that you know as a basis of comparison:

http://www.fco.gov.uk (United Kingdom)

http://www.diplomatie.gouv.fr/en (France)

http://www.http://www.auswaertiges-amt.de/en (Germany)

http://www.dfait-maeci.gc.ca (Canada)

https://www.dfa.ie/travel/travel-advice/a-z-list-of-countries/spain (España)

http://www.smarttraveller.gov.au (Australia)

COMMENT: I personally prefer smarttraveller, largely because it delineates concrete advice for every country based upon four distinctive qualifiers, which places responsibility for travel to the individual traveler who fails to follow the guidance:

Exercise normal safety precautions

Exercise a high degree of caution

Reconsider your need to travel

DO NOT TRAVEL
